Who is the founder of Rope Skipping?

The Rope Skipping / Jump Rope is a traditional time pass. There is no exact proof available in history, but some people believe that it was started in Egypt in 1600 B.C.

But in 1973 a sports coach from Colorado, USA Mr. Richard Cendali converted this pass-time game into a competitive sport. Now, this sport is popular in all the five continents of the world and training and competitions are being organised in more than 70 countries across the world.
